NASH HOTELS

Weekend travel guide to Nashville, Tennessee including the best hotel recommendations, restaurants, bars, museums, things to do, eat, see and explore.

THE ROOM

THE THOMPSON NASHVILLE

We can thank the THOMPSON NASHVILLE for starting the hotel renaissance in Nashville as it was the first hip hotel to keep up with the new beat of the city (and probably still the hottest place to see-and-be-seen).  We love the Thompson for that reason alone, and it's location  in the downtown area of "The Gulch" makes it the prime location with a less touristy crowd and more local scene.  The rooftop bar, LA JACKSON, has quickly become the spot to mingle and socialize while enjoying one of the best views of Nashville (don't worry we take you there in our guide).

URBAN COWBOY BED & BREAKFAST

URBAN COWBOY NASHVILLE. If you want an authentic Nashville experience, which means making music and friends, of course, stay on the Eastside at this Victorian home turned B & B.  The eight dreamy rooms are individually designed to celebrate Nashville's artistic character and all hold true to a "Cowboy Glam" style. You can't miss URBAN COWBOY PUBLIC HOUSE, the only part of the hotel open to non-guests, which has amazing cocktails, food, and ambiance. You might not want to leave this place, as it's about as southern hospitable as you can get.

NOELLE NASHVILLE

This Tribute Portfolio Hotel (part of the SPG/Marriott family) sits in an old historic bank tower, but there is nothing dated about NOELLE.  The clean white walls, gold accents, and rich pastels make this a true beauty a standout. The rooms are beautiful, with velvet textured headboards and bathrooms filled with marble and gold. Head downstairs, to MAKEREADY for BL or D, and check out the speakeasy (if you can find it-- if not, ask for help).  The rooftop, RAREBIRD is becoming one of the hottest rooftops in town with an innovate cocktail and bite list, frozen drinks, and a up close view of the Nashville skyline.  It's location just blocks from Broadway and views of the river make it an ideal location for those who want to be close to the action.

FAIRLANE HOTEL

Recently opening in 2018, the FAIRLANE, is a minimalist mid-century stunner is deserving of the hype.  The inviting lobby with beautiful wooden Eames inspired furniture, greenery, and a touch of glam.   The hotel and rooms feel very “Mad Men"  (the penthouse even has a fire pit inside the room). In the lobby, you’ll find the Nashville outpost of New York’s famed MILE END DELI where the portions are hearty and generous (in true Nashville style).  Although it’s location just blocks from rowdy Broadway in downtown, there’s nothing loud about the hotel.  In fact, there is intentionally no rooftop or loud bar to keep the riff-raff out.  And opening soon, another outdoor dining option, ELLINGTON'S, which gives you another reason not to leave.

21C NASHVILLE

What do you do when you have too big of an art collection to house?  You open a hotel chain of course.  If you have been to a 21C HOTEL (mostly in the Midwest and Southern US) you know they are truly an interactive experience, and the Nashville location will not disappoint.  Part museum- Part hotel, 21C is an art and creative cravers dream.  Privately owned by the heiress to Jack Daniels, her personal collection of art rotates throughout each of the 21c Hotel locations to keep things fresh and interesting.  The rooms are solid.  The suites are quirky and the famous penguin sculptures keep guests on-their-toes as they move throughout the property— you might even wake up with one next to your bed! Even if you aren’t staying here— come check out the impressive contemporary and modern art collection in the basement and first floors of the hotel.

KIMPTON AERSTON HOTEL

The KIMPTON AERSTON HOTEL hotel located minutes from downtown next to the historic Music Row, and close to the cutest neighborhoods in town.  This solid and beautiful hotel opened in 2017, and we love it because of the rooftop pool, which is somewhat rare in Nashville, and comes in handy during those hot summer months.  It’s a perfect option if you don’t want or need to be walking distance from downtown. The lobby and HENLY restaurant are buzzing at all hours of the day with locals and musicians post recording session down the road.
